Controller Issue and Xbox One Placement

I have my Xbox One in a rack next to my 360 in a different room than my TV. After constant controller sync issues with the One in the rack I brought the One off the rack and set it on the floor under the TV and had no issues with the controller syncing.
This puzzles me as I can walk to the other side of the house with the 360 controller and still be able to control the 360 with no issues - It's solid! The rack is about 12 feet away from the TV in the next room closet. Has anyone overcome this issue? How can
I keep the One in the rack and still keep the controllers synced? I've gone through all the different "trouble shooting" steps.

    Thanks

    :)

Should I get an Xbox One S?

    Short answer: Yes

    Long answer: Heck Yes!

The thumbstick placements on a PS controller is the worst placement in the history of controllers so I’d change just for that.

Xbox one s controller connectivity problems

Just bought a xbox one s, the controller have massive random connectivity issues.

When playing it can randomly disconnect the controller. The light is still on and i have to remove the batteries and restart the controller to connect again. have tried every step suggested regarding connectivity issues without sucess. and it isnt anything
interfering. (happening 30 cm from the console) i even tried a older model xbox one controller with the same placement and batteries and it works like a charm.

I have updated the controller via usb also.

    Help much appreciated

  4. Controller Issue and Xbox One Placement

Well, the xbox one uses WiFi direct to connect while the Xbox 360 uses other technology.

In short, the design of the Xbox One and the WiFi hardware card on the console has been problematic for many as far as controller connection. My response is, do what works best and maybe consider re-arranging the room and rooms adjacent so that any WiFi
interference is eliminated entirely. Also consider plugging in the xbox one vs. using a WiFi internet connection.

Thanks for the response. The 360 uses 2.4GHZ I believe, and it was rock solid. Unfortunately there's not a lot I can do as far as rearranging. The rack is mounted in a closet along with all the other components. The TV is mounted to the wall with all cables
hidden in the wall/crawl space. The rack is already hard wired for the net, so I don't use wifi.

Sounds like I'm stuck just bringing the thing out and putting it on the floor when I want to play. That sucks!

    Me too...

I've thought about that as well, but haven't gotten that far in my search. Guess that's next!

    Thanks
