Controller is turning off every game

I can't play a game all the way through without my controller shorting out and turning itself off. It didn't do this before I started using my new Logitech G933 Headset. The headset is working fine, but the controller shuts itself off. I have tried checking
for an update for controller and system. I have done a hard reset of my console and I have also tried new batteries in the controller. My next step is to have to pay for an adapter for the controller and treat my 2nd generation controller like it's a 1st gen.
How can I prevent my controller from dying every game?

Looking for some suggestions

I'm currently using a wheel to play Forza 6 the wheel doesn't have place to plug in a headset so I have to use the controller plug in for headset sound and voice. Because I'm not using the controller to play the game the controller automatically turns off
every so often and I have to keep turning it back on. Is there any type of adapter for way to keep the controller from turning off or an adapter to plug my headset directly into the Xbox any suggestions would be helpful thank you.

Controller turning off?

I had a similar issue where the contacts were not touching fully.... I sort of bent the connectors on the controller out more for a better fit... has worked like a charm ever since... I think it happens when you force the rechargeable battery in at the
wrong angle...

Update, It works every now and then but as soon as my controller turns off it stops working when It turns back on

Hi, usually every game has its own settings. The vibrations setting can always be turn off.

Start a game, go to settings, (usually) controller/gameplay, search for vibration and set off.

I have had the same issue. Every time i try to load a game it starts the splash screen and then it turns off. and so much that i cannot use the controller to turn in back on.

unfortunately you cannot, the controller is set to ''always'' connect to the last synced device.

you will have to sync your controller every time you want to switch device

and turning off the controller by pressing and holding the Xbox button until it turn off is the intended way of turning it off without turning the Xbox off (when synced to an Xbox), or when synced to another device other then the Xbox
