Controller is no longer picking up audio.

Hello, my controller and headset have been working fine. Today, however, I have no longer been able to use my mic and audio has been spotty. The xbox can't pick up my mic, i tried a different headset, same issue, changed batteries, and eventually tried with a different controller with a small success. I updated my firmware. What is going on with this one?

You need to run the Update xbox wireless controller on all controllers you use on the console.

If you are not using a Headset adapter on the controller more than likely the socket on the controller is faulty.

Troubleshoot wireless controller has steps that may assist you further.

M Many times the solution to that is simply to update your control although preferably it would be better to be able to update it through cable and not wirelessly

it works just fine on my xbox, it's as if my machine is not picking up the capability to use the controller as an audio device.

shouldn't it pick up as an audio device regardless?
