    Controller immediately shuts off after inserting mic


    The controller has worked fine as long as ive had it. Recently though, every time i plug in the regular Xbox one mic, or the stereo adapter, my controller just shuts off instantly and wont turn back on until the mic/adapter is taken out. This happens with
    all different batteries, as well as connected via usb. Is there a current workaround for this?

    Xbox One Controller Shuts Off Whenit Mic Is Plugged In.

    When i plug in my xbox one mic into my controller the controller shuts off and will not turn on again as long as the mic is in it. Was working fine then while i was playing and talking to my friends it shut off and will not function as long a my mic is
    plugged in even a little. Any explination to this? Faulty controller or what?

    have you checked if the controller needs an update? Go to All Settings/Kinect & devices/Devices & accessories, then select your controller and on the third box down it should say if it needs an update or not.

    First, check your time settings, and set it to automatic.

    Press the Windows Key + X > Settings > Time & language > Date & time > Enable "Set Timezone Automatically" and "Set Time Automatically".

    Afterward, make sure your Windows is updated:

    Then, download the Gaming Services Repair tool: https://aka.ms/GamingRepairTool

    Once downloaded, execute the file by right-clicking on it and selecting Run as Administrator.
