    Controller Headset Adaptors not working.


    I have two Xbox Ones, three controllers, three headset adaptors, and 1 keypad/headset adaptor. I had a friend come over and we could not get any of the three headset adaptors working. I have followed the support instructions on updating the controller and
    have not luck. The keypad/headset adaptor works just fine, no problems with it. I have also tried the two chat headsets that came with the Xbox Ones, and they will not work. When I look in the seting under the Controller and accessories, I do not see that
    the headset adaptors are there. If I have my jeypad connected is shows up. I can not see that all three adaptors and the two chat headsets all went bad at the same time. I have a headset adaptor working just fine in January. I have not used them sence. Now,
    nothing. I have tried the adaptors on all three controller, with no luck, They keypad work on all controller fine.

    Can I use a USB headset with XBOX ONE?

    Hi, as far as I'm aware, the headsets need to go directly into the controller. The controller does not support an actual USB port, but instead a USB-type port that is compatible with the official Microsoft headset, and those who use the Xbox One Stereo Headset
    adaptor.

    I can't seem to find any adaptors that allow actual USB headsets to plug into the controller. I would say that your headset may not work with your Xbox One.

    Which adaptor do you have? The official Xbox adaptor, or the Turtle Beach adaptor?

    Both work in a similar way, but control slightly differently. Both of them work via the physical buttons, the headset audio menu only opens if you plug a headset directly into one of the Xbox One controllers with a 3.5mm audio port.

    Yes the stereo headset adaptor wire will work. It also states in the description you need the stereo headset adaptor by Microsoft the one for 17.85 as well. The wire and adaptor are both required to get your headset working. The cable you listed In your
    reply back to me and the 17. 85 xbox stereo headset adaptor are both required. The wire plugs in to the adaptor and the adaptor plugs in the Xbox controller. I have the elite controller with the headphone jack as well and it dosent work right in my testing.
    I know it sucks that you have to spend more money then you wanted too but unfortunately the only other way is to buy a new headset made for Xbox one. So buy the wire you stated in your reply post to me and the stereo headset adaptor for 17. 85 and your headset
    will work. Your x12s will have some issues with xbox one because they are not designed for the xbox one.

    The current headset you use for music will work just fine with the Xbox One headset adaptor. You'll be able to hear game volume through it as well as using the adaptor controls to adjust the volume levels. If you are ever interested in chat volume in the
    future, you can bump that up using the controls on the adaptor - but as you know, you won't be able to talk to others with the headset you currently have.

    Hey everyone,

    Audio worked out of the box for me. A USB Audio Device appeared when I plugged the Stereo Headset adaptor into the controller AND plugged headphones into the adaptor.

    This is using a standard Xbox One controller (i.e. not an elite) via the wireless adaptor with v20.24.34.491 drivers.
