Controller freezing temporarily

This problem I'm having is not related to just one controller, but all three of them.

When I've been watching tv, movie, or waking it up, the controller will not function properly. I turn it on and either hit the B button or xbox home button to which it will respond, bringing me home. But after that, it will not do anything for anywhere from
10 seconds up to a few minutes. Removing the batteries or using another controller at that time does not fix it.

Once it has unfrozen, ALL the actions I attempted will then quickly happen. It's sort of like when the keyboard would freeze on your computer and everything you typed then shows up a minute later.

Voice commands WILL work however. So I've just normally said Xbox, watch TV and wait for the controller to function properly. It will then work fine until I have not used the controllers for awhile again.

Note, I am in the preview program and none of the updates have fixed it and this started back in Jan with the update.

NFL app keeps freezing. HELP!

I did a hard reset (hold down the power button for 10 seconds), and it seems to have stopped freezing, at least temporarily.

my console is freezing and i've deleted the cache

Just temporarily try a new game. Sometimes freezing can be caused by the hard drive failing and this is what we want to test for you.

The recent Xbox System update caused black screen hanging and freezes- its the update, is DUFF or corporately sabotaged, or temporarily scuppered to instigate a percentage of new hardware purchases.

I would suggest you install the game to the xbox. this will allow it to load the game data much faster then it can reading from the disk. this should help with any solo play lag issues. If the problem still perssists check to see if your console is getting
warmer then normal over heating can cause performance lag issues as well... if it is warm try blowing compressed air though all the vent ports including the fan to free it from dust build up
