Controller firmware update for headset adapter

I know how to fix this issue, but I have fixed too many times to count. The headset microphone does not work until I plug in each controller and do the firmware update. The problem is within a week or so, I have to do that again. How is it that the controllers
revert back to the original firmware and how can I make the update permanent? I am tired of making the same update repeatedly!

That's an interesting issue you're having. Are you sure the firmware is reverting back to the older version? Does this happen with any controller you try? How are you updating the controller?

 

I have not validated the version of firmware, but I know it suddenly stops working. To update it, I plug the controller in and update firmware. I do this for both controllers. Then it will work for a couple of weeks and suddenly stop.
