Controller fails to update, even though I already updated it!

I updated the controller to work with the headset adapter. Which I did successfully.

But now when I turn on the controller or plug the adapter in, xbone prompts me to update the controller, again!

So I say yes update, and update fails. Obviously cuz I have it already.

If I say no, then controller becomes unresponsive with a flashing white X, unless I unplug the headset adapter which fixes it.

I can then plug the adapter back in and it will work. SO annoying!!

Any ideas??

XB1 failing to update

So i just got my new XBox out of the box today. It keeps requiring me to do updates and remains at 0% forever, and afterwards noticing that it fails to update. It's already connected to the internet though.

What should I do? The option is either updating or to turn off the XBox meanwhile it's won't even update.

 

Mortal Kombat X Update problem

After I updated Mortal Kombat X, I could not access story mode so I uninstalled it and now it says that I have to update again even though I already updated it .

 

Could you try power cycling your console?

That has a tendency to correct a lot of issues.

mine didnt even do a first update but our problems sound very similar. I have tried everything as well and nothing. The controller does work with the adapter plugged in although only when connected via USB. without it i get horrible static. This is just
getting ridiculous. I wish every unsolved complaint was some money out os MS profits. That would teach them to get their crap together. bunch of money hungry douches that have no consideration whatsoever for the people buying their products. And they will
never care because the are still making billions regardless.
