Controller expansion port

Discus and support Controller expansion port in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; the port on my controller has managed to unattached it self from its original position.     Expansion Port

    The expansion port on the bottom of the controller fell inside the controller so nothing can be plugged inside it.

    Xbox One Controller Expansion Port Devices

    Hi,

    Anyone knows any other device that connects to the Xbox One Controller Expansion Port then the headset?

    (talking about the port nr 9 on
    http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/accessories/xbox-one-wireless-controller    )

    I was wondering if it will be possible to connect alternative inputs using this port?

    Maybe someone even know if there is a specification out-there describing what is possible using this port?

    controller audio problem

    • Disconnect the headset or unplug the headset cable from the bottom of the controller, and then reconnect it firmly to the controller (in the expansion port for a headset or the 3.5-mm port for a 3.5-mm chat headset).
    • Make sure the headset is not muted. To do this, check the mute button on the headset controls. (For a headset, the mute button is on the left side of the connector that is plugged into the expansion port of the controller. For a 3.5-mm chat headset, the
      mute button is a slider button on the front of the audio controls that are in the middle of the headset cable.)

    I think you are wrong, with the headset adapter the jack of the headset is plugged into the adapter which use the expansion port on the controller to transmit the audio. The broken jack port on the controller will not be used anymore.

    Hi RichardSellwood,

    That port that is next to the 3.5mm jack is the expansion port. This is for allowing a better experience with the controller by being able to attach a mini keyboard to the controller or a stereo headphone expansion. This is not a USB port and there is nothing
    that I have seen that will allow for turning it into a USB port.

    In order for your son to use the USB lighting function of the headphones (which I have as well), you would need to plug it into an actual USB port on the system or get a small USB battery that you can plug it into.

    all the old and new controllers work with the turtle beach adapter, they just added a 3.5 jack to the newer ones, the expansion port is still the same, i use one on the latest controllers too.
