Controller(even while connected via USB) keeps disconnecting

It started disconnecting maybe once an hour starting roughly a week ago, but it's now progressed to every 10 minutes(or less) and taking up to 20-30 seconds to reconnect. I tried all of the troubleshooting methods and tried a friends controller and his disconnected
to. I even tried connecting via USB and it's still disconnecting. I am deployed to the middle east, I can't just send this thing in to get fixed, it will get stolen in the mail. It absolutely blows my mind, after reading the other posts on here, that MS cannot
figure out what the freakin problem is with this.

Controller and Xbox problem

For a while my controller has only worked when connected to usb and wont connect wirelesly and new headsets won't work either now it disconnects even while connected to USB and this is two different controllers so I doubt it is a controller problem. Now
today for the first time in a long time connects without the wire but for around 30 seconds then disconnects now it is disconnecting even while connected with us and my wireless keeps disconnecting and connecting. Do I just need a new controller or is this
a problem with the Xbox because after spending £40 pound on a headset to find their was probably nothing wrong with the previous one I don't want to spend even more money on a new pad that might not be needed. thanks

 

Xbox App Streaming Controller Stops Responding

im having the same issue as well. Controller just freezes up. One time i was continously going in circles while driving even after disconnecting the usb cable from the controller. Same instance happened while flying.

 

In many cases the problem is hardware failure not software for M$ to figure out.

Sorry about being deployed but your best option is to send it off or order a wifi board and use the instructions on ifixit and do it yourself (that will void the warranty)

 

Support will suggest that it's wifi interference which is very possible. I've never been in the military so troubleshoot wifi first and then look to hardware

 

Thank you, I really don't have anything that would cause wifi interference. It's finally allowing me to play with the USB after a hard reset, but the wireless is still bad. My warranty expires in November, may just stick with the wired connection and send
it off in a few months and hope it makes it.

 

Im having the same issue .. 4 different controllers have seen the same issue now (my friend brought over his and had the same problem)

What happens is i can be playing a game or just sitting at the dashboard and the controllers will start blinking ..

This will happen to one at a time or in pairs

They may or may not reconnect on their own

Watching an error saying controller disconnected when you are siting 2 feet away from the xbox .. while plugged in via usb cable or not .. is ridiculous

Im now out of warranty but had sent in my xbox for my controllers disconnecting while being wireless before

After reading multiple other locked threads .. its clear there is an issue here that is bigger than just me

I have changed wireless routers .. and even disconnected them completely

Changed rooms and tv's

I regret buying the One and should have just bought a ps4
