    Controller Drifting Up

My wireless controller's left thumb stick started drifting. This had just started today. One minute it was fine and now its not. After searching online for a solution (with no luck.) I attempted the Controller Troubleshoot, and it just made it worse. I've
tried updating my controller, and using it only wired without batteries. I've tried putting new batteries in, and unplugging the console for 5 minutes. PLEASE HELP!

    :)

    Hey there, TKILLUIA!

I'm sorry to see any issues with stick drift! When these issues occur, the only thing that can be done is to get a replacement controller. For most regions, the warranty period for a free replacement from us is 90 days. If you still have the receipts from
your purchases and it's within 90 days, you can
    contact us
via phone or chat to have them work with you to get that replacement set up. However, if you are out of warranty, you will need to purchase another replacement.

I understand the frustrations that come with this, as sometimes it's not easy to just purchase another controller. However, if you have any other concerns, please let me know so I can address them!

This happens after normal use of the controller.

My thoughts are that you have played a game that uses the thumb stick click as a button like FPS where this is the run button.

When using this click over time, the controller drift occurs.

Some have opted to have the controller replaced.

Other has opted to buy another controller and not use the new one for certain games.

I have three controllers now as this occurs to my first and second controllers.

I put tape of each to make sure I can always identify which is for certain FPS games, and not

    Controller drift up

I assume you paid $100 for all four controllers combined, so you must have bought them used. While stick drift can always happen, it shouldn't happen with 4 out of 4 controllers if you buy them new.

If you did buy them used, I would assume that stick drift was probably the reason why people were selling them in the first place. In my opinion you're better off buying controllers new. Yes, they're more expensive. But you also get a warranty in case of things like this.

Stick drift is very difficult to fix yourself. Check some YouTube videos if you like. There are plenty of tips and tricks you can try. If you're lucky it's just a little dust and you can fix it. But if they're actually worn out, I don't think there's much you can do.

If a new controller actually costs $100 where you live (AU/NZ?) you should check your warranty. In most parts of the world it's 1-2 years.

For what it's worth, I've owned 8 Xbox controllers (360 + ONE) and only had to return one of them with stick drift.

    controller drift

That is strange. I've only ever had stick drift on my old 360 controllers. I don't know if the standard Xbox one controllers have it, but the Xbox Elite controller sticks can be adjusted to have dead zones to avoid drift. Check in the Xbox Accessories
app if you can adjust it for normal controllers.
Have my elite controller set up and still drifts. Can't do standard controller. Did notice they drift worse on any COD.
