Controller drifting - for the second time

I know this has been discussed, but I am thoroughly fed up! Both my controllers took a 2 foot drop off my couch while plugged into the charge cord. One controller stopped charging after that, and the other could charge, but the thumbstick started drifting
early on. So, for a long time, now, I've been charging the battery pack by switching it between the one that will charge and the one that doesn't drift, mainly playing with the one that doesn't drift. Just recently, the other started to drift which means,
games are going to be pretty much unplayable for me until I can afford a new one. I know Microsoft has put out help topics to try and fix this and will replace it if it's under warranty, but if nothing works and it's not under warranty, we're s.o.l. Ultimately,
Microsoft has put out a poor product with irreparable flaws. This is so frustrating!

Controllers malfunctioning in TitanFall

+1 for the right thumbstick drifting issue. I've only played Titanfall at this point and luckily have a second controller that works just fine. Either the "drifting" controller is defective (sad, really) or there is something with the latest TF patch, preview
dashboard update, or a combination of all of the above.

Not quite understanding what you mean by centerpoint. Is the controller drifting up? For steps on drifting controllers, check out our

Xbox One Controller Troubleshooter. Unfortunately for drifting issues, the controller would need to be repaired or replaced depending on your warranty status.

 

Well technically its not a poor product until you drop it, creating issues...

Just like your cell phone, its not a poor product until you drop it and crack a screen or break the phone entirely.

But thats besides the point lol.

Firstly, it sounds like the charging port stopped working on the one, it may just be a bent connector, which just needs to be straightened out or replaced. With the thumbstick drifitng, it could just be something sticky that got under the thumbstick, or
possibly the sensors under it are damaged.

Now my recommendations...

As it is out of warranty you could:

-Send it in for repair or replacement for a cost.

-Take them to a local repair facility for a cost.

-Repair them yourself at your own risk. (Should just need to buy new thumbsticks, and a new charging port, which actually doesnt cost too much from third party sellers online)

-Buy new controllers.
