Controller Drifting/Disconnecting

Still no response,why am I not surprised.

 

I even tried the "suggested" response with all the button presses and bs and it worked for maybe an hour and then went back to acting up. This time... It was "momentum" based. If I was going forward, I would keep going forward. So frustrating!

I'm hoping I can sell my XB1 and get some money out of it before it's too late. I was hoping this was going to be a good console, but it's not even playable.

 

So I've tested this problem a bit more, I play southpaw so games in third or first person have the sticks switched for me. No matter where I am, the controller scrolls upwards on its own. Menu, games, etc. once I play a third person shooter the controller
acts as if it's in a downward motion the entire time.

That immediately signals nothing is shorting out and that's it's a software issue.

The controllers are 100% defective, Microsoft respond to the issue.

As customers we cannot be the ones to keep buying a defective product in order to use the rest of the system. It's insane

 

You know I really think you're on to something because the problem is 10 times worse for me in The Division.I can play COD and it happens a lot less frequently.I don't know why it would occur like that but it does.

 

I contacted Xbox support today and they told me they have no options available to repair or replace my $150 xbox elite controller. They made me jump through hoops for 2.5 hours including registering my console to my account just to tell me they wont help
me. This is super frustrating considering this product has not been out a year and they have already have pulled support past warranty. I saved the chat as proof of this information.

 

I did a test.I took my Elite controller and synced it to my sons console and it never disconnected,which leads me to believe it's my console.If you have the option to try your controller on a different console I would try that to rule out that it's the controller
and not the console.I still blame the update because it was fine before that.

 

I don't have access to another console, but I did buy a brand new controller to test it out. Tried it corded and cordless and it bugged out. It's definitely a software thing. I'm hoping there's an update:fix coming for this crap. The last update knocked
out my connecting to the Internet. And now this one my controller. Get it together Microsoft! This is getting sad.

 

I totally agree ,it has to be a software issue because I tested all 3 controllers I have and they all do the same thing wired and wireless.Theres no way all 3 went bad out of nowhere especially after the last update.I really don't think they,moderators or
anyone at MS even check these threads because they know there's a problem.Unbelievable!

 

My right thumbstick randomly started drifting to the left, making my character spin counter clockwise. Also when I try to look to the right my character will look but then its like the thumbstick disconnects and my character will stop looking to the right,
even though I'm holding the thumbstick to the right. This exact same thing happened to FOUR of my Xbox 360 controllers. I have never dropped a gaming controller so I have no clue why this happens. I hope Microsoft has a solution or will at least refund me
my Xbox one controller.

 

I'm still really hoping there's an update soon because I really believe it's a software issue not the system.

 

I get the feeling Microsoft either doesn't know how to fix it or they are thinking "Hey suckers... Go buy this new console coming out in a month. We promise it will be amazing and better then what you have now."

I lean towards the last one because money is easier than fix.

 

And still no fix in sight,what a shame.

 

Hey everyone.

Really sorry to hear about the controller drift issues you're experiencing. If you haven't already please make sure all USB devices are unplugged from your Xbox One and make sure there aren't any wireless devices that might be interfering.

If you haven't had a chance I also suggest giving a wired connection a try with your Xbox One controller to see if there's any change. If the controller continues to drift then I'm afraid a
repair or replacement is going to be your best option. Definitely understand the frustrations with this, if you have any other Xbox support questions please create a new thread and let us know.
