Controller doesn't turn on system anymore

I also noticed the controller doesn't turn off after the system shuts down. To be clear, my controller isn't "un syncing". The power button on the controller doesn't flash it stays steady, and as soon as the system is turned on manually everything works
perfectly. I'm in the preview program and this started a few weeks ago but I assumed it would be resolved in the "Official" July release. This is pretty annoying, any help is greatly appreciated!

since the February update when I turn on the Xbox I have to manually turn on the controller it doesn't connect wirelessly anymore.

Seems worse now, the power light doesn't turn on at all (even though the system is on), and the controller doesn't even sporadically connect. Even though I can turn the system on with it if I plug it in with the plug and play adapter. Anyone think if I buy
a wired controller it'd work? Rather do that than have to send my system away.

 

Hi beet, I would try doing a hard reboot of your console. Hold the power button on the front of the console until it turns off then unplug it from the outlet for 30 sec. After 30 sec plug it back in and power back on and see if the problem persists. If
