Controller does not work after inactivity

Hello everyone

I recently downloaded number of preview updates.

Since the June update, when my controller turns off after inactivity,

-> When I turn on the controller, I can't do anything with the controller, I have to turn off the console and restart.

Have you encountered this problem? What to do? (I already cleared the cache)

Xbox One Sleep

I want to start going to sleep while having netflix being playing. I have my settings set for the xbox to turn off after an hour of inactivity. If i had it on netflix and didn't touch the controller does that count as inactivity and would it shut down?

XbOne does not turn off after inactivity

I've done everything I've found on the forums, and the Xbox doesn't turn off. My TV is set to turn off at 4 am and when it does I get the HDCP error that it lost the HDMI signal and has been on this screen for 6 hours.....

When TV turned off in the middle of an episode on Netflix and stopped the show and displayed that error for 6 hours....

and yes i do have the Kinect connected

Will there ever be a fix that does not involve disabling the kinect?

Hi, Make sure your controller has the latest update by going to settings, system, then scroll down to update controller.

Rated, can you confirm if you have anything attached to the controller when this happens (e.g. the chat adapter or chat headset?) I ask because I started getting this in 1407, but only when the chat adapter is connected. In this case, even if it just does
that brief "disconnected" thing that sometimes happens during a game, when the controller reconnects, it completely freezes the system.

I do know that the engineers are looking into the freezing-on-reconnect issue, but it's good to mention this one too, just so they know all of the "bad behavior" and if it's a separate issue, they'll see it.

XBF Diego: Yes, I plugged to one of the ports labelled 8. It did not work and I put to the one in the same column and it worked. I did not plug back to see what happened.

Darkhawk: So the Elite wireless controller does not turn off automatically after some inactivity? What happen if I don't turn off my controller after I am done with it? It just drains power?
