Controller does not recognize headset

help, we ave multiple headsets and multiple xbox controllers and they were working. Yet for some reason the headsets are not recognized by the controller.

I have tried every video and every setting but nothing works, i dont see the audio button under the settings.

I cant click on the volume button under settings as it skips over it.

I have tried everything but still cant get controller to see the headset.

help please

Hi, thank you for the response. Yes, the headset and mic work with another controller with an older firmware.

The headset, once plugged into the controller with newer firmware, there is absolutely no audio from anything and the mic does not work. The controller does not recognize the headset at all.

Please note, the controller in question is a customized controller from Microsoft.

Try Setting up a headset adapter which bypasses the
3.5mm socket which may have gone faulty. Also you may need to Update your controller firmware.
A new update was released recently.

Try a hard reset:

Hold the power button until the system shuts off.

Then unplug the power cable for 5min and plug it back in.

Restart the system.

That might help
