Controller displays low battery but batteries are brand new

    Controller displays low battery but batteries are brand new


    OK... So it goes like this. A couple days ago I took one of my controllers off the charging dock and started playing titanfall. About an hour 1/2 maybe 2 hours later it dies on me. I put it back on the charging dock and grabbed my other controller. I thought
    it was strange that the battery drained so quickly so I later swapped the batteries in the two controllers. Same problem from the same controller. I figured maybe it's a software problem so I attempt to update the controller. No dice. So I put 2 brand new
    Duracell batteries in the controller and the problem persists. I think I'm out of the warranty period but I need this fixed. How can I fix this and what's my least expensive option? Honestly I haven't seen another soul with this problem.

    New and improved Xbox controller has major problems.

    My controller is not showing full batteries but brand new ones wer put in several times. Took the batteries out and it shows full battery. What is up?

    Controller Problems

    Normally I'd go to google, but having a hard time as the word Battery and Draining, just comes up with troll forums about how much bullshit it is to have batteries instead of a charge pack blah blah.

    Here's the issue. My controlller (day 1) with brand new batteries is showing 3/4 full, then 5 minutes later it gives me the low battery warning, then it disconnects at random.

    I had thought it was a short. I went to town on the thing (immature I know) while doing Bottles last puzzle in Banjo...fucking thing is not made for the XB controller...

    Troubleshooting I put the batteries into my 2nd controller that I never use and sure as shit, same thing.

    Anyone else having these disconnects or battery issues?

    Also, I'm lucky to get 5 minutes before the controller shuts down. And then I could take that same battery and put it in my other controller and play all day. The only way this controller doesn't shut down is if I plug it in.

    This update September left the controls crazy! The mine is disconnecting all the time! A lot of people complaining about the same problem and the MS does nothing!

    I eventually just broke down and bought a new controller. I really wish someone from microsoft would have replied to me, at the very least. Alas I am but a mere mortal and microsoft is God in this situation. Love being ignored.

    Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this inquiry. I understand you're having an issue with the battery level indicator for two separate Xbox One Wireless controllers. So I tested it out here on our end with two controllers one I knew had
    low battery level and one with brand new batteries. What we were able to figure out was that the controller that's battery indicator level is being displayed is in fact the controller that is assigned as Player 1. When you switch from the low battery controller
    to being the active Player 1 profile signed in it will then show the dying controllers indicator. It is a good point and I would recommend submitting the feedback through
    Xbox Ideas. Find an appropriate Idea Drive that is "Accepting Ideas" and submit your suggestion on resolving the issue there. Hope this helps!
