Controller disconnects often while playing Titanfall

I've had disconnection issues since launch as well with the play & charge battery. I've never had a single disconnection with energizer batteries though. I'm waiting for my replacement battery to arrive (free of charge) from MS. Personally I believe
it to be a software issue rather than hardware. I'm not holding my breath for the replacement to work.

Titanfall 2 and Elite Controller

I have noticed while playing Titanfall 2 with my elite controller, if the controller "disconnects" it locks up my console requiring a "hard" reboot to get the game to work again. This only happens with Titanfall 2. The controller's firmware is up to date.
Anyone else having these issues?

Im having the exact same problem. I'll be playing away and suddenly my controller will just drop off completely or it will stay on but be unresponsive sending my character on an uncontrollable charge into a wall.

 

Ive had the Xbox ask for the controller to be reconnected at random times since launch. The pads light is still on and the battery is charged fully. Happens with all three of my controllers on different games.

 

I'm having the same issue with the controller after the update, but with all games I play (titanfall, forza 5, and COD Ghosts)....i hope they will patch their controller soon...that or i'd just like to go back my original not updated controller and use their
little headset instead of my expensive turtle beaches and their junky headset adapter...

 

Nothing from MS on this yet? I initially thought it was the Energizer charging station I bought, but after reading the post, it seems unlikely that this is the issue. Annoying to be honest.

 

add another person to this, as all have stated this only happened after doing the update with chat adaptor and XO dour turtlebeach headphones.

Its not a controller issue as I used my controllers at a mates without using the headset anmd they work fine for 2 hrs, went home and lasted about 30 minutes before it happened again.

Not a battery related issue or controller...I'm not even sure its a console issue however I haven't tested my mate contollers on my console yet.

Sometimes this doesn't happen for ages other time 5 times a night. I did notice this primarily seems an issue with titanfall as I can use youtube and movies with no issues and also killer instinct.

 

How many of you are experiencing the disconnect issue, only with Titanfall AND only when using the rechargeable batter packs?

When I took mine out and used regular batteries, it appears the issue has stopped.

 

I tried keeping my controller fully charged every time I played to see if that would help, but to no avail, it still disconnected on me twice in one night. I have a Nyko recharge base.

I'll try using regular double A's to see if its an issue with the rechargeable batteries.

 

This is also happening to me. I have found that if I leave my controller connected via the usb cable I do not have the issue. If I am playing whilst not charging my controller it will randomly disconnect

 

I tried using double A batteries instead of my rechargeable pack and it did not work. The controller still got the disconnect message.

I read elsewhere that going into settings and clearing the MAC and then restarting the system might help this problem.

 

Any updates from Microsoft yet? Will this be fixed in their next system update? Does anyone from Microsoft actually check these forums?

 

i reckon its a form of cheating similar to lag switching that disconects xb1 controller.dont reckon its a headset problem at all its the game.happened to me alot always when u are in a titan battle never happens when u a pilot wall running etc and always
connection to server msg pops up before disconect.oh try adjusting stereo adapter sound up for chat worked for me with x12 to hear in game chat.

 

On a good note, I'm getting faster and faster at taking out my battery and restarting my controller before I die in Titanfall... I guess that's something.

 

@Kryll I think you're reaching a bit on that one. I've had the controller disconnect on me while in a Match Lobby. It's not always in game related.

@CMU LOL Yea. I think I can get it reconnected in about 6 seconds. Practice makes perfect.
