Controller Disconnects - Media Closet Setup

We had our TV mounted and moved all of our components into a closet. We wanted the clean look on the wall. No wires /cords/ outlets junking up the room. When I play XBOX One games I continually get disconnects. the xbox symbol on the remote keeps flashing
until it reconnects. It reconnects after a couple of seconds. It will do this throughout my gaming session and has become very annoying.

Range from where we sit is between 22 and 26 feet from the media closet.

Is there a RF remote for the controller or something that can purchased to fix this?

I have tried all of the troubleshooting with support. They want me to test with new controllers from a friend or take mine to a friends / store.

They said they would replace the console. Is there a known issue with consoles doing this>

Sounds like your just out of range for the controller. The controllers do not use RF they use a proprietary wifi. I believe the rang is about 20ft. You may try updating the controller firmware, and move anything like a wireless access point away from the
console or anything in the 2.4ghz range.

My media closet (that has my Xbox One ) is 5 ft behind me and 15 ft to my right. It's in the closet that's under my stairs that go to my second floor and behind a hollow core door. We just moved to a new house and they pulled all the wiring from the living
room back to this location. I was worried about connectivity as well but it works just fine.

Thanks Win2k!! I get the feeling the Xbox One is not meant for a media room / closet setup. I have read a lot of the older posts and the 360 controller would let you move room to room and you could still play / use the xbox controller.
