Controller disconnects during system boot process and reconnects shortly after loading up...

Disconnect from xbox live and boot up your console. I had a similar issue and was unable to load the home screen. Unplugged my Xbox from the network and it booted normally. After booting the console normally you can insert the game, start playing and reconnect
to Xbox live.

just to be sure, please turn the console off and disconnect it from the wall socket for at least 30 seconds. After that boot up the console again and try reconnecting the controllers to see if that makes any difference

Disconnect wifi or wired Internet, restart Xbox,, as soon as Xbox banner loads and grey screen pops up, hit the Xbox symbol on controller, and load game. Reconnect Internet for online play, if you have an Xbox without hard drive like mine, let me know how
to fix it after that, mine still doesn't load.

Yeah, you have to have the keyboard attached during cold boot. Can't be detected after the system boots, nor after the system Instant On boots.

And then check Hard Drive. Kindly make sure that your hard drive is properly connected and functioning. You can try disconnecting and reconnecting the hard drive cables.

If incase you have another hard drive, you can try booting from it to see if the issue persists.

Next is to disconnect the power cable and all peripherals, then press and hold the power button for about a minute to drain any residual charge. Reconnect the power cable and try booting up again.

Then check for external causes by removing any external devices and check the boot order in BIOS. Sometimes, external devices can affect the boot process.

After that is to update drivers. Please make sure that all your drivers, especially the graphics card driver, are up to date.
