Controller disconnects and would not resync

I bought a new Xbox One last Sunday. The included controller, for no reason whatsoever, decided to disconnect. I tried switching the controller back on to no avail. I thought the batteries have gone flat so I tried to connect it via USB. I can move around
the menus for a few seconds before it disconnects, the guide button remained lit however. Tried resynching (with new batteries) but the controller shuts off after the light flashes rapidly.

I haven't been at all "abusive" to it as I have only gotten the console a few days ago. Gladly I have a spare Xbox One controller that I bought about a year ago for use on PC.

Update kill the 360.

Disconnect all of your accessories, and attempt to resync your controller.

Yes, the USB cable while plugged into the Xbox One controller will force the data to and from the controller to the console over USB, thus making it a wired controller.

This is also evident when unplugging and plugging in the USB, the controller disconnects for a brief period to resync.

 

Try having the controller off with both batteries out and the USB cable disconnected from the controller so there's no power running through it. Leave it like that for a minute and plug either the batteries or USB cable back in and see if it works then.
I had an issue of an unresponsive controller, I unplugged it, took out battery, but never both at once and as soon as I did that I realized it helped a bunch.

The controller has it's own software, and sometimes it has the tendency to crash, get stuck in a loop, whatever, only way is a hard reset. Since I had power either through a USB or battery it never did a hard reset so I imagine taking away both power sources
forced it to reboot in a way.

Works on me when controller locks up, is unresponsive, or when I'm unable to use my microphone or stereo headset adapter and headphones.

 

I've got 2 Xbox One at my house. One (Sunset White edition) works just fine and the Day One edition has the same controller issues. I've tried to replicate that conditions with the white console but it never disconnects and works like it is suppose too.
Just replaced my Day One with a Halo 5... Guess what??? Still have to problems but the disconnects will reconnect almost instantly and oppose to waiting about 5 second before. Good luck getting it solve as it seems that no one at Microsoft will own up to the
problem.

Really sorry to hear about the disconnection issues. If you're finding that the controller is only disconnecting on one console and not the other it sounds like the disconnecting console may need a repair/replacement. First be sure to make sure there are
no other wireless devices around the console that may be interfering. You may need to re-arrange the setup in your room.

My controllers both just lost connection some days ago and it wont find the xbox anymore.

Ive tryed all the help stuff nothing works.

they do work if i plug in a cable. but i want wireless =/
