Controller Disconnection

Through the end of this week, my controller has had some problems.

My Controller is wired now ad the battery is dead, but through the 4th, 5th and 6th of October it randomly disconnects in the middle of playtime. I don't know what's causing it, because the wire is connected in tightly. the most recent time it happened in
The Orange Box it WOULDN'T EVEN COME BACK ON.

can you cool dudes research this stuff?

Controller disconnects after 1 foot

Heya!

Sorry to hear about the controller disconnection trouble! To kick things off, have you tried replacing the batteries in your controller to see if there's any change? Also, please make sure you run though this Controller
Disconnection Troubleshooter.

Controller Disconnection?

So I have a mini USB cord for my controller I've been using. And I've tried 3 different cords, whenever the cord gets moved, and loses connection, and It's really annoying. I don't feel like buy an adapter just to play some of my PC games with an Xbox one
controller. Drivers are installed, and it does the same on the Xbox one. It's whenever the cord gets moved, or pushed toward the front. But if I were to bend it back behind the controller. It's fine. I've even clamped down the connection on the cord to make
it tighter, but still nothing. Anyone have a clue?

 

try to power cycle your console. Please hold down the power button on the front of the console for approximately 15 seconds until the power light shuts off. Wait about 60 seconds, then power it back on. Be sure you see the green "XBOX ONE" animation loading
screen when you power it back up.

then set you're controller change batteries and make sure you have the latest update of the system and controller

 

Do a power cycle to see if that resolves that problem...

This actually dosen't help me. each time it disconnects i keep holding it until it turns slightly white. then like 20 seconds later it disconnects again.

 

Wireless - My Wireless controller's batteries ran out, and I don't have anything else. so now it's a wired one.

Side Question - why isn't my gold Xbox One Original controller turning on even though its on wire?

Thank you for contacting Forum support.

Should the batteries be bad make sure to change them.

Try to replace the batteries and see if it works (wired and wireless control connection)

See if it's possible to update your control (if it stays on)
Update your Xbox One Controller (look for: Update via USB).
