Controller disconnection issues (my case)

My Xbox One is placed in a wooden cabinet without any doors. Between me (my favorite place I usuallly sit and play) and xbox one indeed there is glass table.

Today I will do some tests and sit right in the front of xbox one and remove that glass table.

Sorry, I cannot move my Xbox One to another room since I have only 1 room Another area is also not possible in my situation Maybe one shelf higher on the same cabinet but I don't think it will make any difference.

Anyway, I will remove the table and I'll see if that help.

You are definitely not alone, it has to be a console issue as all my controller disconnect simultaneously.

Really?? c'mon this is getting pretty bad now, of course it wouldn't make a difference if you moved it to one shelf higher

We have to be correct ok this, it didn't happen with the 360 so there must be something which was was added to the Xbox One or controller which makes the disconnection

I myself is sitting 6-8 foot away from my console with nothing in the line of sight and no cabinet doors and I still lose connection, it's what's IN the devices now what's around

 

Reaper hoping theres a fix for this in the next update that should be out soon, did you get accepted to the preview

 

There isn't GrowlingYapper there are plenty of people on another Forum who are in the Preview and are still getting disconnections

No, I didn't get an invitation. Two friends of mine also tried to invite me but I did not receive ivvitations from them either.

I know how it sounds (the shelf thing) but, you know, I already talked to about 20 or more advisors and every one of them tried to go through the all troubleshooting steps over and over again. One of them tried to convince me that A SPOON makes interference.

So, all I want is to check all the possibilities even those "unusual".

You can go to Settings>Network>Advanced Settings>Alternate MAC address>Clear>Restart.

No disconnections today for either my usually place where I sit and when I removed my glass table and sit right in front of xbox one.

However sometimes I had very bad audio (I have MS Stereo Headset) like the signal was very week.

There's no rule, I've noticed that earlier - sometimes there's no disconnections (like today) and sometimes it can disconnect 3-4 times per 1 minute.

 

During first 15min of today's gameplay I had 2 disconnections then I removed glass table...no disconnections for another 1 hour, coincidence?

I will make another tests and keep u posted.

 

Sorry, disconnections appears when I sit directly in front of Xbox One 3m from it without any obstacles (removed glass table).

hm.. What brand and model is your wireless router, and where is it sitting in relation to you and the console?

 

My router is TP-LINK model: TL-WR841N

This my 2nd router. My previous was also TP-LINK but different model. With this one I had the same problem.

Current location of the router is behind me (behind my gaming position) about 1,5m so it's +- 4,5m from the Xbox One.

If I find the time I will try to turn off the router and play some offline. I'll let you know.
