Controller disconnecting!

Hi, Just bought an xbox one second hand, got it home and set it all up and immediately noticed the controller was stupidly difficult to connect, then once it does connect the range before it disconnects is within 8ft of the console and seems to be worse
if the controller is to the right of the console?? I played Fifa 16 today but that was almost unplayable thanks to this controller disconnecting every 2 minutes or less! I bought a second brand new controller but this is exactly the same! Tried rechargable
battery pack and AAs with no change. There is no door on my tv unit and nothing in the way between xbox and controller, I have also tried switching every electrical device off including router without making a difference.

I'm completely lost with this and feel completely ripped off too! The seller has tried telling me it was fine for him which i doubt!

Does anyone have any solutions please?

My wirless controller keeps disconnecting; if i buy the rechargable cable batttery pack would able to play without the controll disconnecting

Thanks but I have been through that list and it's no different what ever I try. Thinking about replacing either the WiFi module on the top part of the Xbox or the RF board in the front which is where the antenna for the WiFi goes. The controller uses a
WiFi signal apparently.

I assume the xbox is out of warrenty, have you given MS a call, talked it through with them, see if they can do anything for you, plus you could always buy yourself a cheap USB extension cable and use the controllers as wired, save you all the hassle of
opening it all up.

But whatever you do i hope you get it sorted, good luck.

Yeah decided to use it wired instead, do you know if it's possible to use a usb splitter cable to use both controllers out the same usb port? Or will i need 2 cables?

Ah no you can't use that i am afraid, one port will only work with one controller, so you will need two cables, but they are quite cheap to buy so that is one thing.

Connecting the controller with a USB cable doesn't work,

Controller still disconnects even with a USB cable connected,

I have the same issue with Series X using mouse and keyboard for Call of Duty Vanguard.

I played during the beta and there was no problems with the controller disconnecting but as soon as the game released, the controller disconnects,

I've tried a Xbox One controller Series X controller, with batteries and a USB cable, and the controllers still disconnects.

When you connect your controller it disconnect you from the internet?

I tried 2 controllers. Both are disconnecting. And when they're both connected, I can see that they disconnect at the same time.

Well, when I don't have any controller connected the Internet is disconnected too. When I stay on the Wi-Fi / Internet page, it says "No connection" with or without a controller connected. The controller is disconnected with the Internet, even when I don't
have a Internet connection set up.

I miss play GTA V...

Updates:

Paired both controllers to console at the same time. Both controllers lost and regain sync at the same time.

Paired Elite controller to iPhone. No disconnects.

Paired one controller to console and other to phone. Controller connected to console disconnected, controller connected to iPhone stayed connected.
