controller disconnect when kinect is on

So my controller and kinect and everything has been fine.

Until i changed the batteries for the first time - rechargable AA batteries that i used for my 360 before.

The controller works fine if my kinect is off, but soon as i have the kinect on the controller disconnects, i turn it back on, flashes a few times. turns off again.

Ive tried everything on the xbox support pages, turning my xbox off, synching the controller, the batteries are fully charged. my kinect wasnt recognising me when signing in but it is now since ive done that. but still soon as i turn my kinect on the controller
disconnects?

any ideas? thanks

And it could very well be an issue with the controller as well but let's try getting some non-rechargeable batteries to try first.

months later ive been using a wired connection, i still cant use my controller wireless..

[/quote]Happens to me only when using the Kinect. My daugher get disconnected everytime she move to the left or right . So i told her to keep in the middle in front of the kinect to avoid that . When you disconnect the Kinect everything works fine with
controllers no matter if you are not in the middle of the kinect when is shutdown.

i dont have kinect ang i dont have a built in mic when i disconnect my controller it dont say anything.

Hey there Fastball,

Are your controllers disconnecting only when playing a Kinect Game or is it just overall when you're playing any games on your Xbox 360?

I would advise going through the "Xbox 360 Wireless Controller disconnects or can't connect" support
article to troubleshoot this issue.
