    Controller disconnect issues... still

I've been having controller disconnect issues since day one. I usually just keep them wired in, but I think I've had it with that. This should work. I shouldn't have to do that.

Situation: When playing, using apps, or even just browsing the menus I will get a flashing light on the controller and a disconnect. This usually immediately reconnects, but sometimes it takes a few
tries. I've found that if I don't sit up perfectly and hold the controllers just so, they will disconnect. My couch is about 9 feet from the XB1, facing it straight on. If I slouch too much, disconnect. Cross my legs, disconnect. Lie down, disconnect.
I have multiple controllers and it happens with each. Note: this does NOT happen with my XB360 controllers.

Things I've Tried: I have power cycled the console many times. I have updated all controllers, and reconnected them in various ways. I have moved my router (Apple AirPort Extreme) from the front of
the room to the back corner. I have turned off the WiFi capabilities of my receiver, which is on a shelf below the XB1. I don't have the Kinect turned on anymore, it that never seemed to matter.

Please help. I am so sick of wires running across my living room.

    :)

Just checking in to see if there was an official response to this. As I said, I've tried everything the various support articles suggest. The last thing they suggest is to post a new thread. So having done that, I'm going to keep pinging it.

This issue plagues me as well, had it since they asked us to update our controllers for the headset extension, either the xbox one is giving out a seriously weak signal or the controller is.

There has been much advice on this issue which solves nothing although someone posted something that does help a little bit and that is to turn off 4G on your mobiles, I went further and put all my devices into aeroplane mode and this helped a little providing
I do not move around to much.

Not very helpful and really bad that we have to basically isolate the Xbox one for it to work as it's intended.

I'm hopeful that it will get fixed by the Xbox team but it does not seem much of a priority, maybe with the NXOE it could solve it if they've rewrote the drivers.

I tried completely powering off my phone, tablet and laptop. This did not help either. Still hoping Microsoft can/will help.

  10. If you've got a 2.4ghz/5ghz router try disabling the 2.4ghz radio on it.

I cannot actually disable the 2.4 GHz band, but I did try two things:

    1) I made sure all my devices are using the 5.0 GHz band. That didn't help.

    2) I unplugged my router's power, to see if the problem occurred when there was no router broadcast at all. The controller issue still persisted.

its obvious its something they can't fix as they keep their heads buried in the sand. The last thread was locked and im betting this one will go the same way.

p.s my pads playing up again too and Im on a replacement console.

  14. Hey everyone!

Sorry to hear about the controller disconnect issue and I can definitely understand how frustrating that could be. If you haven't already, I recommend going through all of the steps listed in our Xbox
One Wireless Controller Disconnects or Can't Connect
troubleshooting page. I understand that many of you have already tried multiple steps, but just to make sure that no steps have been missed, go ahead and run through the suggestions listed in the link
    provided above.

If you have already tried the suggested steps as well as tried different controllers with your console and the issue continues to occur, you will need to have your console serviced. You can request a repair through our Online
    Service center
. If you run into any issues requesting a repair, reach out to phone or chat support from our Contact Us page for further assistance.Once again, I am sincerely sorry to hear about the controller
disconnect issues and any inconveniences this may have caused.

Iv got the same problem, but only recently out of the blue about a week ago it started and gradually got worse to point it's unplayable Microsoft have said nothing the support team couldn't tell me anything and when I asked if many people have reported this
issue they said I was "the first" which I know isn't true because loads of people are having this problem anyway the only way I can get it to stop is to turn my console on first with the power button and then connect my controller once it's booted up. This
must be a software problem and not the hardware hope this helps a couple of and I also hope MS sort this out.
