Controller Defect! Left analog stick/little grey clip breaks

I purchased an Xbox One while playing Madden the left analog stick started acting up, and the controller was making a rattling noise. After about 10 seconds of research on the internet I found it is a common problem with a small grey clip on the left analog
stick, but to make sure I popped of the panel and let the clip the that was rattling around fall out. Since it had been roughly 25 days since I had bought it I went back to the store, they replaced it with a new controller.

Controller #2 lasted about 15 days, then go figure rattling noise and an improper working left analog stick. I pop off one of the back panels on the handles, and guess what falls out? Shocker, a small grey clip.

So believing in bad luck I go back to the store, they replace it. This time I also chose to purchase(donate money to Microsoft) a extra controller. I get home thinking, yeah no way they will both break! I'm good to go... wrong! controller #3 made it 0days
0hrs 0min 0sec, the B button stuck down the 1st time I pushed it and sticks about 80% of the time you push it.

So hello controller #4! After 2-3 hours of Madden I become lucky enough to hear my old friend rattling around inside my controller. Once again the left analog stick is all loopy and after popping the handle panel again, a little grey clip joins the party!

At this point I am fed up with the constant breaking, I don't even want to get it replaced as I assume it will break again. Plus I don't want to waste anymore cheap plastic paper weights.

After contacting Xbox support they claim they have never heard of this problem before, as if I am some ignorant 9 year old who believes everything he is ever told. They then follow it up by telling it is the retailers fault... I didn't realize the retailers
were the ones that design, manufactured, tested, and then sent out a shotty product for purchase. Well purchase is an exchange of money for goods, so I guess I can't call it that. It's more of a fee to be inconvenienced and repeatedly let down.

So here is to hoping Microsoft continues to ignore the problem, so I can finally exercise my lack of writing skills that I was taught back in High School and College.

Plastic clip broke off left analog stick and I don’t have money to buy a new controller

recently I started hearing a rattle so I took the left grip off and a little grey plastic clip fell out and it makes my left analog stick hard to push down and makes it stick. I have no idea what to do or how to fix it.

 

Left analog stick "issue"...

I have two controllers that are doing the exact same thing. As you rotate the left analog stick the controller clicks in two places. I'm also guessing that if you shake the controller, you hear something rattling around inside.

-the customer service representative has never heard of this and there are no defects with the controller

-if there are no defects with the controller build then they must continue to be making them all the same

It is weird that many people have exactly the same problem wih the controller clicking in two places, the loose clip is from the left side of the left analog stick and I happened to get two of them.

But the customer service representative assured me that if there were any build defects microsoft would let us know. What a weird coincidence.

Xbox Ideas, powered by UserVoice I have also had some troubles with the right joystick so I feel your pain. If the issue is reported on the specific site created for us to offer feedback, I think Microsoft
will be more apt to see reports such as the ones you have read elsewhere on the internet. Hopefully in posting there a re-design will be seriously considered. Sorry If I made you feel as if you have been pawned off to a different website. I just want to be
sure you have the tools available to have your voice heard.

 

So if I go to this feedback forum and vote on one of the 15 separate threads about the left analog stick problem, MS will start addressing this problem and shipping all new controllers with a studier set up or whatever they will do to stop this from happening?
Its a great thing that they have this option, but just with my experience with faulty products, (be it a problem with a game or accessory) all have been very negative. I have never had anything solved by speaking to a support staff member, let alone voting
for a problem I have in common with other customers on a suggestion board. I know I'm being a pessimist but I feel like they implemented this just to offer a sense of "they are listening to their customers and they will address the more common problems posted
from this forum". Im guessing that more than likely, they hope that this will ease some of the frustrations of their consumers, while they could care less about our gripes and issues with their product because we have given them our money already anyway. Plus
this doesn't fix the problem we got stuck with, EVEN if they did start to address the issue it would only be seen in controllers after they decide to fix the design of the old ones. (which could be months or even years before they would be available.) In the
meantime, we still would be spending 60 bucks on a controller that is most likely going to break. I'm on controller 6 ($300) in less than a year, and theres NOTHING BEING DONE from MS's side about it. Let alone even acknowledging it. Instead, we have to vote
to get our problems fixed? Smells like a steamy pile of excrement to me.
