    controller dead


    Updated my console and 2 out of 3 of my controllers last night. The third one started to update but when I put it down. The update stopped and now the controller doesnt turn on at all. How can I save this controller ? Is there a way to reset the controller
    or buttons to hold down to reset it ?

    Dead Controller

    Today was this first time this month I'd used my Xbox, and I was shocked to find that my controller was dead. Lucky I've got the quick charge kit. If I haven't been using the console why did the battery pack run out?

    So if I was to take the battery pack out, when not using the Xbox would that help?

    Hi baggieboy06 if you carry out the steps below hopefully you will be able to update the controller and get it back up and running.

    1. Remove any batteries from the controller

    2. Power down the console by holding the power button for 5-10 seconds

    3. Unplug the power supply from the console and wall outlet and leave everything unplugged for 1 minute

    4. Plug the power supply back in (leave controller unplugged for now) and wait for console to boot

    5. Once on the Home screen, plug controller in via USB and leave it alone for 2 minutes

    6. Run controller update again (even if option is greyed out, attempt to select it and update again)

    I have the same issue and it sucks because many others like you and I have it, so I made a giant tread so everyone can let their voice be heard at the same place. Simply comment to it to share your complain.

    Fix our controllers - Comment if you have this issue

    Dead Rising 3 shooting controls are are now like normal 3rd person shooter controls, like Red Dead Redemption for example

    Xbox one controller not connecting after battery dies

    You could try putting the charged battery into the controller with the dead battery. Or hook up the charging cable to the dead controller and the Xbox One.( It will charge while you play)
