    Controller dead zones


    Even after the controller update the triggers don't use all the travel i.e in forza 5 triggers pressed in 3/4 of the way in is full gas or brake missing that last 1/4 of travel.

    Controller Dead Zones

    unfortunately i don't think anyone on this forum can really help with that, and definitely not any official microsoft support, because that is a 3rd party controller.

    you could try to buy those little attachments that go on the stick and extend them. that gives a greater degree of control, but you may not like the feel of it.

    another option would be to have the joysticks replaced, or replace the entire controller. if you find the afterglow controllers are all similar in regards to their dead-zone, the only thing i can suggest is to try another brand or model of controller.

    Controller Dead Zones

    I have an Afterglow controller. The dead zones on my controller are weird. If you push left on the right thumbstick it goes further before it enables. I just want it to be more responsive because playing first person games its too jerky. I searched for answers,
    I guess some heavily used controllers move automatically because they don't center out, maybe that is why its programmed like this. I wish it worked better because like this it's either full blast or nothing at all.

    It isn't the deadzone ! It happens with all games, it doesn't happen with my new controller (yet) many other people are having issues with left stick on XBone controllers. I've been a gamer for many years and have experienced dead zone issues before, this
    is not a dead zone issue.

    Normally if I have drift I change the dead zone and increase it if the game has it. I get the same thing in borderlands 3 and increasing dead zone little by little till it went away. I dont play apex so not sure on controller settings there. I know most
    shooters nowadays have dead zone settings though.

    What kind of controller are you using? And how old is it?

    Or was it the same problem with both and were they actually new?

    I had the very same problem in a used Xbox elite controller I bought. Except that was only on the right thumbstick. On the left thumbstick it moved by itself, in other words it couldn't get to the "zero" zone. It was supposed to only be lightly used and
    it looked alright on the outside, but the thumbstick felt like someone had spillt some liquid into it or something.

    Needless to say I returned it.
