Controller continually disconnects.

Hi, first post actually. I bought my CoD edition xb1 about a month ago, and have since had consistent problems with my controller disconnecting. I've been through all the troubleshooting steps i could find including but not excluded to,replacing the batteries,
fully powering off the xbox, updating the controller, and even connecting it with a cable and playing with it wired, nothing has helped so far.

Would getting a new controller even fix this problem?

Here's my info about the problem. As I really only have Cod:AW at the moment, it's the only game I've had issues with, it hasn't happened while using any apps. Every few minutes, or sometimes even rapid succession the controller disconnects.

I guess I will have to request a new controller if nothing else can fix it.

Controller continually disconnects

I've been playing COD for a few hours now, and my controller must've disconnected and immediately reconnected to the xbox one over 100 times. The X on the controller flashes, and the game pauses and asks me to reconnect the controller. It's really frustrating
as it usually happens in fast action bits - and the continual pausing is really annoying. I'm about 3 metres from the console, with nothing between us. I've tried going closer, but the problem persists. I bought my xb1 from Tesco online, so I'm not sure how
I go about getting this sorted? Obviously I don't want to return the whole console... and I don't want to have to swap my 'day one' controller for a normal one. Anyone else having this issue?
