Controller continually disconnects/reconnects

Hey all!

So for about a month now, my controller will continuously disconnect and then reconnect at random times (always the worst times obviously haha). Nonetheless, this is a serious concern. I am very clean/gentle with my controller so it is not damaged. I have
tried to update it, but it doesn't need one. I am a part of the preview program but I'm not sure this issue is directly from it. There are no waves or mixed signals between my xbox and controller that would interfere.

Please help! Thanks very much. Really don't want to buy a new controller, It's basically in pristine condition....

Controller continually disconnects

I've been playing COD for a few hours now, and my controller must've disconnected and immediately reconnected to the xbox one over 100 times. The X on the controller flashes, and the game pauses and asks me to reconnect the controller. It's really frustrating
as it usually happens in fast action bits - and the continual pausing is really annoying. I'm about 3 metres from the console, with nothing between us. I've tried going closer, but the problem persists. I bought my xb1 from Tesco online, so I'm not sure how
I go about getting this sorted? Obviously I don't want to return the whole console... and I don't want to have to swap my 'day one' controller for a normal one. Anyone else having this issue?

is extremely common, my understanding its wifi interference. This thread will most likely be closed in no time, there has been many forum post like yours and they just get directed to some troubleshooter which will not fix the issue.

This has been annoying me since yesterday! Xbox One Updated on the 6th, I'm assuming the update is the problem! I went out and bought a new controller for $70 and nothing changed, new baterries for $10 and still nothing. If they don't fix this **** soon I'm going to blacklist microsoft forever.

i assume you have already reset your xbox to factory default or tried to update the controller firmware.

What's left is to request repair of your xbox, it is likely that the problem is defect in the built-in bluetooth receiver of the xbox.

Hello, I tried the steps you gave to me and unfortunately it didn’t fix the problem. The drive still disconnects, but then it immediately reconnects. It is disconnecting then reconnecting continuously.

So far for about 3 days it seems to have magically fixed itself. Odd but I'm guessing it will come back.
