Controller connection on Xbox 360 without previously paired controller

I recently decided to use my Xbox 360 again and I wanted to play a game that required a controller (obviously), but I lost my controller and I’ve given up on finding it. Is there a way for me to connect another wireless controller to my Xbox 360 once I get one? If it helps, I have a Kinect for my Xbox.

Unfortunately you won't be able to use an Xbox one controller with your 360 console, so you might want to check the electronic shops near you for a 360 controller if available.

The original Xbox 360 controllers do not support traditional Bluetooth and as such won't pair. To pair a Xbox 360 controller you will need to purchase an adapter that you plug into your PC. The official one, I believe, can still be ordered on Amazon.

If you want to just straight up pair a controller to a PC without the need for an adapter, recent Xbox One controllers use normal Bluetooth and would pair without issue - https://www.pcgamer.com/xbox-one-controller-on-pc/ will
tell you how to spot which ones will support this as the original Xbox One controllers don't.

My Xbox Wireless Controller won't connect to my Bluetooth at all but it connects by USB to my computer, it also flashes when I click the pairing button and my Bluetooth is turned on, whenever I go to the pair devices and try to pair the Xbox controller
it doesn't show up. Is there a way I can reset the controller without the console?

Its suppose to flash when pairing also what are you trying to pair it to

Hopefully all you should need to do is to re pair the controller with your Xbox 360, Don't worry about if the controller initially connects to the Windows receiver as when the pairing is completed it should then hopefully forget the Windows receiver.

when you are trying to use the controller on the Xbox 360, do you do that with or without the wireless usb adapter.

Be sure to try it without when trying, since it shouldn't be needed on the 360 console. Use the pairing buttons on console and controller to establish a connection like show here:
