    I just updated my Series X because I hoped to get rid of some bugs from the previous OS updates.

    Conclusion: worse than before. My Elite 1 Controller lost sync connection, only usb wired works.

    Hard reset of the XBox didn't solve the issue. Controller doesn't pair with the console.

    This is by far the worst alpha ring update ever.

    the controllers dont use kinect anymore, and when they did it was for pairing to the console and not the actual connection.

    only the original xbox controllers had IR built in, all the newer controllers don't have that.

    the only two ways to connect an xbox controller to an xbox is though the built in wireless on the console and usb cable.
