Controller connected but blinking

What does it mean when I am playing with a Wireless controller that is connected, but the lights on the XBox button keep blinking, alternating across the diagonal: 1,4 then 2,3 and back to 1,4

The controller otherwise seems to be working normally - when I press the XBox button the battery level shows 2bars or at least half full so it doesn't seem to be a battery level warning.

Controller won't connect to Xbox

The controller will also stop blinking as if it's connected then start to blink again.

Yellow blinking light section 1

Hello,

Just a moment ago i fired up my xbox360 slim and the upper left section started blinking yellow. The controller was connected and working, but the led keeped blinking yellow. I've turned the xbox off and on again and it dissapeared. Any idea what the left
blinking led could be?

It is actually a battery warning. As the battery gets weaker the controller will occassionally blink to let you know they will need to be changed soon.

The battery pack is non rechargeable.

Hello there,

This sounds like a familiar problem I had with one of my controllers a while ago. I found that the connection with the wireless adapter was much more reliable.

I recommend you have the PC forget the bluetooth connection with the controller, and have the controller depend only on the connection with the wireless adapter. When you disconnect the controller from the PC, it's possible that it will blink as though it is not connected to anything--this is okay.

Just reconnect to the wireless adapter only, without going through the bluetooth settings on your PC, by:

Press and hold the connection button on your controller until the Nexus button blinks rapidly
Press and hold the wireless adapter's connection button until the indicator light on it blinks rapidly
Wait a few seconds for the controller and adapter to find each other, and for the blinking to slow down and stop, indicating a successful connection
