    Controller Charging


    I have a few Nyko battery packs but I'm confused about which way to charge. Should I plug the USB into the slot on the battery or the slot that's on the controller itself? What is the difference between in the two? Thanks

    Hello,

    I think your controller is charging.

    You said you've a wired controller, so if it's plugged in the Xbox the green lights will not turn off, it indicates your controller is charging.

    Controller broken?

    so i dropped my controller while charging it. And now the controller turns off everytime i plug in the charging cable. And how can i get it fixed?

    Did you try www.nyko.com ? Did the batteries not come with instructions? I imagine they can be charged in the controller via the controller mini usb port, and there seems to be other accessories (from nyko) that allow charging of the battery outside the
    controller.

    I bought everything off Craiglist so no instructions provided. I checked the Nyko site but couldn't find out what the difference in charging methods were

    As far as the controller charging.. I don't believe any controller does this except the Elite 2 control. I could be wrong on this.
    If you wanted to charge the controller, you would need to use the Play & Charge kit that consists of a rechargeable battery and a usb charging cable.

    All the play and charge kit is, is a cable and a battery that goes in the controller. Battery has to be in the controller to charge, they haven't announced a separate charging station

    When turning console off the power on button pulsates for quite some time after - why is this, and is this a problem?

    this also happens if a controller is plugged in with a charge pack... if the controller battery pack isn't at full charge it will continue to charge until full even if console power is off.

    The problem is with the controller and the cable (more than likely)

    Just plugging in the cable will not charge the controller. You have to make sure the wire and the controller are sitting perfectly still from start to finish of the charging.

    Also ensure that the orange light is on (if you're using the play and charge kit)....if you are not, then you will need to charge the batteries independent of the xbox one controller
