controller charge cable keeps disconnecting if i move the controller a bit

hey

ive had this problem since in bought the cable the thing is if i want to charge my controller ( charge kit )

and i move the controller a little bit it will stop charging and disconnects my controller even if my batteries/charge kit arent even empty.

is there something i do wrong? or something i can do about it?

i already tried updating my controller but that didnt work

My wirless controller keeps disconnecting; if i buy the rechargable cable batttery pack would able to play without the controll disconnecting

yeah my xbox one x controller keeps disconnecting and wont charge a battery. Ive tried 3 cables and 2 batteries.

This is a problem with the design of both the controller and the cable.

Many of us are experiencing the exact same problem....our best bet is to voice our opinions on the XboxUserFeedback website to ask for changes to the controller and charge adapter hardware/design

Unfortunately this did not resolve my issue, still no charge light on controller and as soon as i disconnect the charging cable the controller switches off so no progress.

Hi, just tried it with everything unplugged except the controller and it still disconnects, I’m at a lose, the cable (the end that connects into the controller) feels like they move around way too freely, but considering it’s 2 official xbox controllers
and two separate play and charge USB cables I assume that’s just how they fit, also not sure if it matters but the little orange light on the cable never lights up when I plug into pc (that could be normal for all I know).

Try to troubleshoot your controller this way:

Remove the batteries from the controller.

Get a MicroUSB data cable (make sure it's a real data cable, not just a phone charger cable, as they lack the data lines). Connect the controller to the console and test it. If the controller keeps connected move to the next step.

Instead of the console plug the USB cable now into an USB power supply (e.g. smartphone charger). That way you have a reliable power source, but the controller has to connect wirelessly to the console.

If the controller disconnects with the USB cord providing power, it's an issue with your controller or console's wireless.

If the controller stays connected while you use the USB power supply, check your batteries.

If you use rechargeable batteries, be aware that rechargeable batteries provide less power than disposable batteries, and if your rechargeable batteries have already had a lot of charging cycles, they might be unable to charge to full capacity, thus providing
not enough power for the controller to function properly.
