Controller causing mic to malfunction

Hi! I'll try to keep this simple, but my mic has this issue where if I try to talk, even though it has the right amount of volume, not muted, etc, it always seems to be quiet. When I get to close to the mic, it just suddenly sounds too loud. I tested this
on 2 mics and it seems like both times this happened. I even went to testing this on my Xbox One to my Xbox One S and this still happened. But the thing is I used the same controller which is a wired controller (which can be plugged into the back of the Xbox
One S). I did ask this question few hours ago and one of the Xbox Ambass. said it could be an issue with my controller, and to get (or test) a new one. Is this what I should do? (Keep in mind that I did in fact check if my communication was blocked, but it
wasn't, so I don't know what to do except just see if I do need a new controller).

I recommend checking for a controller update, this is separate from a system update which i recommend as well.

My mic usually has the same problem, but my Xbox Controller's mic port is causing the problem. Either the controller mic port could be their issue, the mic plug-in cord, or the mic in general. Feedback has also had issues with constant screeches.

Hi Sam,

Since the mic is not working on two different controllers, then it's possible the mic itself is malfunctioning. Have tested the headset on another device to confirm the mic works? Try it with a phone on a voice call or try it on a PC or tablet on a Skype
call or some other method in confirming others can hear you with that same headset on another device.

Try the headset with another device and let us know that the microphone is working correctly.

This is now happen to me its not the mic cause ive tried 2 different mics and a different controller and it works fine

I am not really certain about that but it's possible that it affected the other parts of your controller causing it to malfunction. I am afraid that the best option you have here is to replace your controller since Xbox/Microsoft doesn't do repairs.
