Controller buzzing

hello i bought the xbox one x about 12hours ago and i can here a loud piercing frequency coming from my new controller plus the console is not quite isn't it ment to be a soft sounding xbox seeing how it costed 600$$ its like a soft slight scratching noise

I already suffer from tinnitus so have a console and controller adding to the noise is horrible

Like i said iv owned it for not even a day and im just about ready to refund it

Unless i can get some support or advice

Mic buzzing/weird noises

So my friend mic is buzzing with xbox one controller what is 6 months old. Now he did get new because of that and it still buzzing. Its not buzzing with old xbox one controller.

Buzzing noise with Turtle Beach XL1s.

Hi all,

I have bought some XL1s recently. When I first tried them out with my Wireless Xbox controller, they emit a buzzing noise but when I use them on my Madcatz Black Ops Controller they work fine, though it makes a buzzing noise everytime the controller vibrates.
Anyone know why?

Honestly, I'd just take it back for an exchange. I've never heard of a controller buzzing, but anytime you get electronics and they're not right out of the box, the best thing to do is exchange it.

high volume cause feedback not buzzing. Normally buzzing is a electric problem. If you have a old controller and if you connect to a power bank with the headphones connect to the controller you will get a small buzzing on the background.

Yeah, in the past whenever I've had a controller buzzing, or had a buzzing microphone from somebody else in a party chat, it's been because a controller has been charging at the same time.

In some cases when your control is being charged via the "Play & Charge Kit" the controller can emit a buzzing sound. Try taking the Play & Charge Kit out of the control to see if the buzzing stops.

My friend told he'd always hear a buzzing noise when I'd talk in Party Chat.

Connecting the controllers with a USB cable to my console only enhances the buzzing noise, and makes it almost unbearable for my Chat members.

Is your controller powered via an USB power supply during that time?

My friends also sometimes complain about a buzzing sound when I'm charging my controller via USB. Also, another friend produces buzzing when he charges his controller via USB.

So it's probably not your Y cable or microphone, as the original Xbox chat headset also buzzes, when the controller charges via USB.

However, when I remove the USB charging cable, the buzzing stops.

So if you still have a buzzing sound, do you have to power the microphone?

does the buzzing go away if you move the wire from the controller to the Xbox.

I have 2 wired controllers (a Duke and an Afterglow) and the Duke makes a buzzing sound if the wire isn't in exactly the right place.

the Afterglow doesn't make the buzzing sound but it doesn't have a Chat Mixer setting in the Xbox settings so I get game sound through the headset
