Controller Buttons sticking brand new controller

It is likely controller stick drift, you will need a brand new controller

I bought a brand new controller and it paired fine but the Xbox one is still not responding to the right analog stick of the new controller.

If that is the case where it is like drifting it will need to be replaced. Controller sticks occasionally get the drifting effect after hours and hours of use. If this is a brand new controller try power cycle the console off, set controller down so nothing
being pressed, turn console on then resync controller. Have noticed a couple times if I have button pushed or stick pressed in a direction when power on the console seems to read that.

That happens when your controller is registering input from a different button at the same time. (You can replicate this issue with a perfectly fine brand new controller too)

Try disconnecting your controller and pressing every button a couple of times. Triggers especially!

That usually fixes it for me.

If you want to replicate the issue it should be as simple as holding A/B/X/Y (or even clicking in the sticks) and trying to scroll around the dashboard / guide
