Controller button mystery

Would love basic function info for controller buttons........How to use when setting up. Set up presumes user is familiar with controller buttons from the start. Frustrating!

If it is occurring amongst more than a few i would not want it to remain a mystery either.

Try a wired controller I'm serious, if your pushing a button on your wireless controller and it is not working and or is slow then your first steps should be to test the paddles and not blame the system in place.

 

Mysterious Ghost Controller

Has a neighbor been to your home and played with their own controller?

This happened once with my neighbor. He once used my 2nd controller for a day or two...and about a month later I took it out of my cabinet so I could use it on Street Fighter 4 since my D-pad was acting up on my Red one.

I turned on that controller and it apparently turned on his console. I forgot he had it before so i needed to re-sync it.

You are right but you can find a starter guide/tutorial nearly everywhere on the internet.

 

I actually think this is a good idea that should be implemented in the initial setup. Xbox has a specific website to submit ideas and users can vote on them. I suggest you post it there.

When setting up your console, there are clear visuals on what buttons to press and instructions on screen, to help you in different scenarios. I'd suggest taking your time to setup your system, it should take no longer than 10-15 minutes.

RE: Controller settings, my advice would be to take some time to get used to the controls, as they are standard on this platform. There is always Xbox.com or these forums, who are home to
