    Controller bugs out and Xbox becomes unresponsive after plugging in hard drive (Xbox One S)


    When I boot up my Xbox one S everything is fine, controller works good and everything, but when I go to play a game thats installed on my hard drive (its plugged in at this point) it says I need to own the game, so I unplug and plug in the hard drive again, and then my controller bugs out and my xbox becomes extremely delayed, drifting and taking up to two minutes to respond to an action. help?

    I literally just bought the Xbox one s and was having the same troubles. After some digging on google I came across a reddit forum and they suggested to unplug the external hard drive and it it worked! So if you have an external hard drive plugged in that
    may be the problem, apparently it’s a bug.

    So I tried to update my xbox controller and when I plugged it in the interface was waiting for me to press " A " showing the controller on the screen.

    Then the controller became unresponsive.

    Still have the Kinekt unplugged after a hard reset ' while the console was on. " so WTF.

    Maybe that is what is going on but I bought the stereo Official Xbox head set.

    Thanks, I will look into this. My controller is now doing this thing where it becomes unresponsive while it's still on. I have to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to work, and it has shut off a few times after doing that.

    How to transfer hard drive data from old xbox to new xbox???

    Are you getting an Xbox 360 E model? If so you could just pop the hard drive out the S model and plug it back into the E models Hard drive caddy. The slim hard drive can he plugged into the E model as it uses the same type of hard drive caddy setup.
