Controller Broken?

My xbox one controller no longer lights up, however it does turn on when plugged in via play and charge wire and wirelessly. I can use the buttons but the left stick in constantly pushing towards the right. I've never seen anything like this? I've tried
hard resetting the console with no luck. I'm completely lost

try updating your controller go to : settings/accessories/controller(make sure you have your controller connected to your xbox)/update controller

My left analog stick began doing something similar, it drifts up bad is getting to the point of being unplayable.

Sorry to hear about the controller issues, I can definitely understand how frustrating that could be. I recommend trying a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can get this issue sorted.

Please give the following steps a try:

First, make sure to update your Xbox One controller.

Try putting a fresh set of batteries in your controller.

Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.

Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord.

Wait 5 minutes and plug in your console.

Power on your console and check to see if the issue continues to occur.

Give the suggested steps a try and if the issue continues, you may need to have your controller replaced. You can process a controller replacement through our Xbox Online Service Center or from our Contact
Us page.

If it is broken and out of warranty throw it away and purchase another one.

I literally just got the controller. I cant afford that crap, whyd they send out a broken controller to replace a broken controller?

Maybe your controller is broken. Try going to setting then configuring your controller.

It's defective, not broken. And I'm not sure what you mean by the second sentence.

Maybe you have to buy a new one unless you have a warranty on the controller or one time i had a old broken controller and i replace the part with broken one
