Controller bricked after firmware update

    It just happened to my Xbox One controller!

    The Xbox Accessories app is a lot newer and it can't detect it since it got in DFU mode!

    Please, help!

    I'd like to bump HardRetro's question. I mean, it's been nearly 2 weeks without a functioning controller for me. Some timely fixes for a known major problem would be nice. I've been biding my time with some KB/Mouse-oriented games, but the point remains.

    Same here, update didn't complete and controller is stuck in DFU mode. I've been on a support chat loop between the Xbox and Windows teams for about 2 hours now. The first Xbox support rep said it's a known issue and that's there's a fix, but by *** it's
    impossible to make any headway in acquiring this mystical hotfix... Sheesh!

    Ditto, updated app detects the controller while in DFU mode & was able to complete the firmware update.

    Actually saw this yesterday as I've been checking for the update after work each night. New app has resolved the issue and controller is working fine.
