Controller Battery Life/Disconnecting When Streaming

When connecting the Xbox One controller to my computer via USB and streaming via the Windows 10 app, an Xbox notification pops up indicating that the battery in the controller is low and the controller continuously disconnects. When not streaming, the same
batteries appear to have full power on the Xbox One and experience no disconnecting issues. Using standard AA Duracell batteries. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Controller gets disconnected

I was surprised the other day when my controller disconnected itself suddenly while I was engrossed in my game. It's usually a battery issue that causes such disruptions so I put in new batteries but it kept getting disconnected. I tried resetting but to no avail. I have no idea what the solution could be.

my xbox one been freezing,solutions?

also on a side note, my controller has the play and charge battery but sometimes it will just disconnect even when charged, any solutions for that as well?

I'm getting this same exact issue on Windows 10. As far as I know this is the full app and not the beta, but I just installed whatever was suggested when I looked at the store.

I love it. @ dudeski what battery life do you speak of? And snap is fantastic for getting to party options and friends quickly via voice.

* edit. You mean controller battery life monitor. Got it. I never paid attention to the one on 360. My controller would just start to disconnect and I knew it was time to plug it in or put the fresh battery in.

Have you guys tried checking the battery life by pressing the guide?

If you are using very old batteries or battery packs, you might want to try turning of the rumble feature since that can drain your batteries faster than you would think.

Here is something that used to happen to me.

Does your controller ever disconnect when you grip the controller a little tight?

If that happens too, you could remove the battery pack and gently stretch out the 2 coil springs.

When you replace the pack, you will notice it is a bit tighter in there.

Scottiths

The random controller off might be low batteries. There is no indicator of battery life, and I found that when they started to die they just turned off the controller randomly.
