    Controller battery charge part 2

Since I shipped my controller back to Microsoft, I bought another to see how that one would charge. Based the the screen info when the Xbox X is on, the charge time still shows only an increase of 2 hours for 2 hours charge time using USB cable. It should
take 4 hours to fully charge the battery.

Has anyone else had this issue with rechargeable batteries in these controllers? Trying to figure out if the controller port is the issue or software. It is not the cables or batteries.

    Thank you,

    Dave

    :)

    the charging station is strange

    Hello gamer,

This behavior can occur if one or more of the following conditions are true:

. The battery has reached the charge limit.

. There may be an issue with the charge cable.

. There may be an issue with the battery.

    Things to try:

    1. Determine the part of the recharging system that may be causing the issue.

    Controller

Try AA batteries or try a different Xbox 360 Rechargeable Battery Pack in the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller to verify that there is nothing wrong with the controller. If the controller works with different batteries, the controller is not causing the issue.

    Charge cable

Try a different Xbox 360 Play and Charge cable to charge the battery. If the battery charges correctly with a different charge cable, the original charge cable is faulty.

    Rechargeable battery

    a. Use a cotton swab and some alcohol to clean the four gold contacts on the Xbox 360 Rechargeable Battery Pack and on the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller.

    b. Try a different Xbox 360 Rechargeable Battery Pack with the charge cable. If the second battery charges correctly, the original battery is faulty.

2 problems i been having lately. please help

Regarding your first question you should check your NAT settings and make sure they are open

Regarding the controller problem this occurs when:

. The battery has reached the charge limit.

. There may be an issue with the charge cable.

. There may be an issue with the battery.

Xbox elite controller series 2 built in battery

I'm excited about it because it means I don't need to swap my Play & Charge battery between controller. I'm sure other parts of the controller will fail before the battery becomes an issue.

what cable do I need to recharge my Xbox X batteries

That would depend on the batteries. If they are standard AA batteries, recharagable or not, then they cannot be charged in the controller. Rechargable AA batteries need to be charged with an AA battery charger. The only battery that can be charged in the controller is the Xbox play and charge battery.

    Play and charge kit problem?

The simple answer is this. You can mix and match your batteries, cables and controllers to try and determine where the problem exists. Does it do this on all controllers? Only with the new battery? Does it work if you switch cords? etc.

Mine stays lit if it's red and once it charges and goes green that stays on too which indicates the battery is fully charged. The lights are supposed to be on. You could be experiencing a fault but it will be easier to tell if you could do that to see
if anything behaves differently if you change your set up and see if anything changes. Mine seems to work in this condition but it doesn't usually turn immediately green.

    Similar to these instructions.

This behavior can occur for one or more of the following reasons:

    • The battery has reached the charge limit.
    • There is a problem with the charge cable.
    • There is a problem with the battery.
Try to determine which part of the recharging system is causing the problem.

    Xbox 360 Wireless Controller

Try using fresh AA batteries or try a different Xbox 360 Rechargeable Battery Pack in the controller to make sure nothing is wrong with the controller. If the controller works with different batteries, the controller isn't causing the problem.

Xbox 360 Play and Charge cable

Try a different Play and Charge cable to charge the battery. If the battery charges correctly with a different charge cable, the original charge cable is faulty.

    Xbox 360 Rechargeable Battery Pack
    • Use a cotton swab and some isopropyl alcohol to clean the four gold contacts on the battery pack and on the wireless controller.
    • Try a different Xbox 360 Rechargeable Battery Pack with the charge cable. If the second battery charges correctly, the original battery is faulty.
Once you've determined the source of the problem, replace or exchange the faulty part.

Rechargeable batteries eventually wear out. The length of time that a rechargeable battery lasts depends on how frequently you use the battery and how frequently you charge the battery. If you use the battery frequently, the battery won't last as long
as if you use the battery only occasionally.
