Controller attached Mono Headset Not Working Since Update

Hi all

Just wondering if anyone can help with an issue I have with the official mono chat headset, which was included with the Xbox One, and if so did you find a solution.

This past weekend I updated my Xbox One controller software, using the official Microsoft USB charging cable, while my head set was not attached. All went OK with no faults.

However later that same day I decided to go into party chat and found my headset would not work at all and the mute light was stuck in the on position. Prior to the update the headset had worked fine.

I had the thought that the headset may have its own update and connected the headset to my controller and reran the controller update again, an low and behold another update was found, which install OK. However this did not resolve the fault and the
headset still does not work and now the mute light is stuck to flashing / blinking all the time.

As an added note the mute light even flashes when the console and controller are turned off and the controller’s battery is charging via the USB cable.

Xbox Mono Headset Not Working??

Hi everyone, good evening or morning (wherever you are in the world) I am playing Plants VS Zombies/Titanfall and I am loving them, one problem, I am using the headset the console came with, which is good enough for chatting with people, but one issue,
i can hear them, but they dont hear me, and in other instances, they cant hear me and i cant hear them, but i do see their headset icon flashing, I was able to update the controller if that makes a difference but i am not able to hear anyone, something i am
doing wrong? any help solving this will be greatly appreciated =) thank you

 

Xbox One Stereo Headset almost not peaking voice

Did you update your controller with the headset attached?

 

Have you tired doing a hard re-boot?

 

I have just been on chat with Xbox support and the lady said that she have come across my headset fault before and advised that I should shut down my Xbox completely, unplug all cables, leave it that way for about 5 minutes and then reconnect everything
and try my headset again.

When I try it later this evening I will let you know how I got on.

 

Tried what Xbox support recommend and it did not work. After contacting them again they advised that it will need to be replaced. I have sent the old off to Germany and am now awaiting the new one, but I may have to wait 20 days for it to arrive.
