controller and mic

hi ever since this new dashboard update i been running into some issues some r like whatever but the one thats noticeable is everytime i log on i have to assign my controller to my profile in order for my mic to work in the partys with friends , so does
anyone know how to fix this ???? also can the 360 flash drive b used on the xbox one ?

NAT is open / party chat doesn't work - "we can't find a microphone for these people"

I think this is a hardware issue rather than a connection issue. If it was your connection the party would read "Disconnected" I would personally try to barrow another controller and another mic from a friend and try them vice versa with your controller
and mic (mic 1 with controller 2, controller 1 with mic 2, and controller 2 with mic 2).

Mic wont work

So my brother dropped my controller not that high from the ground and my mic was connected to the controller and the controller is fine but the mic stopped working. I can plug in the mic to other controllers but the mic can plug in the controller, but won't
work. It shows like nothing is plugged in please help.

ya i am also having issues with this new dashboard, i cant sign in my other controller when one dies. before it was easy now it has been a horrible experience.... i have disliked this new dash nothing seems to be convenient anymore. please tell me i am just
missing something and not seeing the button to assign controllers to a profile because i hate this turn off your xbox just to switch controllers crap!!

Push down on where the mic plugs into the controller (the mic part) turn on the controller and then slooooowly let up pressure on the mic part until it is at rest... that works for me just dont push up on where the mic hits the controller itll tyrn ut off
again.

My mic usually has the same problem, but my Xbox Controller's mic port is causing the problem. Either the controller mic port could be their issue, the mic plug-in cord, or the mic in general. Feedback has also had issues with constant screeches.

Make sure the mic is plugged in before turning on the controller, if you are connecitng the mic to the controller. If this is not the case, how are you connectig the mic?

I bought both a standard mic, as a replacement, and a mic adapter, to use with my Beats 2 headphones. Neither are working (standard mic before and after controller update as a result of the mic adapter) on two separate controllers.
