    so I'm playing call of duty and my controllers dies. No big deal but I turn it back on and now my headset doesn't work I can't talk Cant hear cant do anything I press the mute button and no orange light pops up so obviously it's not connecting right, tried
    unplugging and rep lugging multiple times and NOTHING so I go to turn my controller off again to see if that works, turn my controller back on and now my CONTROLLER doesn't work at all so at this point I have to manually shut off my Xbox by pushing the power
    button

    this happens to me multiple times can you let me know how to fix it? It's kind of ridiculous starting to wish I got the ps4

    Xbox One Elite Controller Headset Issues

    I had a issue simular to this. I updated my elite controller with the headset adaptor and headset plugged in. I haven't had any problems since then. Are you having headset issues with standard controller or only the elite?

    I myself have had this happen quite similar. It sometimes happens in games, it's quite an annoying little glitch. You would have to end up either restarting your Xbox or Hard-Resetting, meaning unplugging for 30 seconds or so then plugging back in. Try to
    keep your controller charged/charging before it dies all the way. Preferably purchase a Plug-N-Play, sometimes just unplugging your headset mid-game does this as well. You won't even need your controller to die.

    I've been having the same problem. It only happenes when playing games. I went and played today and haven't noticed it doing it so maybe with me it might be fixed. I haven't even tried to play Halo 5 when I got it for Christmas because I don't know if the
    problem has been fixed.

    So I just bought an xbox one gears of war edition with 500gbs. I also bought an Afterglow lvl 3 headset with it so I could talk to my friends. My xbox and controller work wonderfully, but when I plug in my mic it isn't even recognized. I've gone through
    what the support says and I've factory reset the system yet nothing has changed. My headset works perfectly on my phone and computer.

    @Big Leechbass go to Kinect and devices then go to device and accessories with the headset plugged in it will pop up in there then you link with to the controller and person

    Xbox controller reset

    Try to use the headset to another controller.

    If your headset works to another controller, then it is an issue with your controller that might need to be replaced or repaired.

    You can try first to use another headset to the controller ( the one where your headset it not working ) to see if it is an issue with the headset.

    Hi Hassan!

    There's a possibility that the issue may be on your controller headset jack. To further isolate the issue, try to use a different controller with your headset. Maybe your controller headset jack needs cleaning.

    Will need some more info, what is the make and model of the headset

    Has this worked the past.

    Does the headset portion work correctly, in other words do you just have an issue with the mic.

    Can you try another controller, or better yet try using the headset on a friends xbox or take it to gamestop

    If the headset works on another controller then it may be an issue with the controller or console, if this headset does not work with another controller, then it may be an issue with the headset.

    Not all headsets are supported with the xbox
