Controller analog sticks broken?

my day one controller that has seen over 300 hours use by me over 5 months is still in pretty good condition with no noticeable problems, however 6 weeks ago I bought a new one and its worn out after less than 50hrs of game play.

The left analogue stick stalk has grinded down around the area where it makes contact with the controller rim itself.

This now means that I can push it in any direction to its defined max position, then push it a little further and it sorta clicks again into the little grove its made.

This problem was apparent from the first time I used it as a constant build up of plastic dust under the thumb stick, which I had been cleaning off on a regular basis with a cotton bud, to reduce the friction there.

It seems that if I put up with the annoying extra click on the controller, the poor quality plastic is going to keep cutting a channel until the thumb stick simple falls off.

 

New controller design means more bugs to work out.

It's not the Manufacture who's at fault, it's the Console Design team at MS.

Seems R&D/Testing at MS means. "how many unites can we sell within the 1st 6 months." as opposed to. "can we bring a top quality product to market, and win the console wars in this generation?" has taken center stage.

 

What a joke. I have gone through 5 controllers and all the controllers left stick grinds and sticks. So frustrating... How do they put out a product that is so bad. With any minimal trial and testing they would see this as a clear issue. Maybe just a ***
money grab. I am going to try SONY before I go spend any more money on broken products.

 

im having a problem with my left thumb stick moving upwards anybody any clue how to fix it

 

I cannot believe i went out of the way to order a xbox one and have such poor service... I mean i have now purchased 6 controllers and the sixth finally broke last night playing Fifa... This is terrible design i have opened it up and its some stupid little
clip that breaks and you can actually hear the thing in the controller when you shake it... I live outside of the united states and order my stuff from amazon and its such a hassle for me to return anything.. First i had the stupid disc tray issue that would
grind.. Now all my controllers that i buy new break... I am this close to switching to the PS4 if this is not resolved.. If you keep ignoring the issue you will lose all your customers... DO SOMETHING MICROSOFT..

 

I have purchased three joysticks all have went bad left analog stick had malfunctioned on each including the original so that makes a total if four faulty joysticks I have

 

Yup! I also have a similar problem. My left analog stick is defective. It keeps looking up and down without me even touching the controller! It makes it literally IMPOSSIBLE to play any games that require the use of the left analog stick. I also have the
Day One edition controller and am not interested in losing it to a ordinary replacement. I thought Microsoft tested these controllers NON-STOP like they showed in the videos! What happened!?

 

We have 3 controller's that are broke (all of them have issues with the left stick sticking). We play ... a few times a week and we are in our 30's and needless to say we baby our hardware. Starting to think I chose the wrong console. We have 3
Xbox 360's and 2 controllers for 5+ years. Never had an issue with any of them. Ever.

 

I have been through 4 effing controllers. They seem to die faster with FIFA. It's the left stick. It clicks and pops and it won't move freely. This is a class action lawsuit in the making. At $60 a controller, wtf?

 

And here is your answer folks. I don't have time to wait for a revision 2 controller. Gamestop and PS4 here I come.

 

Bump. Seriously Microsoft. Do a recall. This is insane.
