    Every single controller for Xbox One does this. It's a mass hardware failure. You cannot get it fixed. It's hard to believe that Microsoft spent 100 million on R&D for this controller but it's true. Microsoft will need to do something similar to the the
    original Xbox and redesign the controller before this problem gets worse. It's ridiculous. Next time you get a new controller just open it up and gently rotate the left thumb stick. At about 45 degrees left or right you will feel a weak point. That's the
    beginning... it gets worse and worse until it is broken. Every single one.

    Almost 3 months later I am still waiting for my Xbox One Day One Edition controller repair status. They initially thought I was a liar when I called them the 2nd time (back in March) because they never "received" my controller even though I clearly provided
    them with my UPS tracking number along with proof of my controller being delivered on February 21st.

    How about you do your job and actually take down notes when a customer provides you with proof. Is the Service Request number given out for no reason? Use your tools!

    After 15 business days and 4 agents later I was told that Microsoft had never received my controller and everyone else I spoke with previously was for nothing because not one of them recorded notes with my service request numbers. Someone from corporate
    was supposed to reach out to me via email or phone within 4 business days.

    Since then, I've received emails from Brittany, Joshua and John from the "Xbox customer advocacy team" with nothing but additional problems. They literally told me "Sorry Joe, we've been undergoing internal changes. We have indeed located your Xbox One
    Day One Edition controller but there is no estimated time frame for the repair as it is unavailable for replenishing. We will contact you when you're controller has been shipped back from the repair center. Again, I am so sorry for the inconvenience! "

    So what did I do? I decided to visit the support forum's and to my surprise I am not alone. It really aggravated me that standard Xbox Support have been compensating other customers who are experiencing the same thing.

    I emailed Brittany back and simply asked if the Xbox Customer Advocacy Team could replace my controller with a Limited Edition Titanfall controller and possibly refund my $10.36 UPS ground shipping costs. You kidding me? I was hallucinating or something,
    I mean why would they try to help a customer who has been accused of lying? I asked Brittany to have her manager call me by telephone due to my experience.

    John (her manager) did reply to my emails in a timely manner but when he called me I was stuck at work. After the first voicemail he followed up with a email stating he would call me back at the time I initially requested. 2 days later no phone calls,
    email and to top it all off my service request numbers seem to be cancelled automatically!!!

    Worst experience ever!

    jproia, I have the same situation. Next week will be the 4th Month since I sent out my Day One controller. I have went through several Xbox Support and Customer Advocacy Team. They told me there are no stock of Day One controller and they can't do anything
    about it. They even offered me the TitanFall controller and I agreed to it. A month has passed and I still dont have the titanfall controller. They gave me the familiar answer that it was out of stock. I told them the controller is widely available at almost
    all electronics retailers including the Microsoft Store. They said its not available to them. Bunch of bullsh*t! I filed a complaint with the BBB last week. I'm just awaiting for the reply from MIcrsoft.

    I suggest you all do the same. Is there a lawyer out there so we can file a Class Action Lawsuit against them.

    My controller number 4. just died.. left stick again again and again.. Last one took only 5 weeks to repair. Nice. I love this piece of.. I think this one was after about 6 hours of gaming. Did not break my personal record but 6 hours is a lot of time......

    Update I received the CronusMax Adapter about two months ago ,which allows you to use any controller on any system in my case I use the 360 controller on the X1 only for playing Madden 25 because like the rest of you i have sent through 6 X1 sticks since
    launch smh so I orderd the cronusmax because I refuse to wait on another controller from Microsoft nore buy one .this left or right analog issue needs to be resolved period we the gamers who spent 500+ for a system with cheaply made controller's is unacceptable
    .But the cronusmax works perfectly and I love it for everything I spent 80$ total for everything u need .the adapter and the wireless adapter to play with the wireless 360 controller on the X1 .But if your like me and have no more time for the BS head over

    I bought my Xbox one a month or two after the console's release date, an now I am experiencing issues with my right analog stick. It feels like the plastic parts underneath the stick that are meant to hold the actuator in place have broken, so now there
    is nothing to reliably move the actuator, and I can hear parts clicking around.inside when I move the stick. This is not an issue that a young controller should be having. =/

    Left stick doesn't move up unless i push down on analog while moving up... whats worst is when controller is untouched the Up direction is continusly push up on menus,games,etc

  12. I'm also having this issue, thought it was just me, but after I updated the pad the left analog stick moves up all by itself. Playing NBA 2K14 i leave it in the menus and it after a few seconds it goes crazy, cycling through menus makes the games almost
    unplayable, and I'm not shelling out cash for an issue that may happen again on another pad. Please MS Fix this!!!!

    On my seventh pad its a broken clip on the left anolog stick cheap plastic getting a ps4 today tried talking to xbox no joy so im converting back to playstation after 6years on xbox absolute joke.

    Same issues here. I play FIFA & Madden and now have 3x controllers with the exact same problem, the left stick does not work when pointed in the 1 or 2 o'clock positions. Instead the stick will often click/pop out of position and on screen the player moves
    very slowly or even starts running on the spot like a poor Michael Jackson tribute. It's a real problem in Madden because I now need to play all my run plays to the left!!

    I called MS recently and the guy I spoke to was excellent. 2 x controllers have now been sent back and my day one controller will be posted when I receive replacements. I don't feel that I should have to open up my controller and glue parts together, nor
    do I feel that I should have to go out and purchase an adapter with add-ons so if the replacement controllers are equally ineffective I shall ask Ms for....

    a) Their honesty re plans to rectify the problem

    If they continue to deny the issue exists or their time line for a solution is too slow I shall...

    b) Ask for a TOTAL console reimbursement as "not fit for purpose".

    Out of all this the most annoying aspect is that Microsoft are still not openly admitting that there is a problem. This is amazingly poor for customer relations and I suspect I will end up owning a PS4.

    The apparently large team who had crazy amounts of money to improve the controller only went and broke it by reverting to cheap plastic.
